- Develop and sustain an environment and projects that
are quality led and meet the needs of those affected by domestic
violence in the Foyle area.
- Identify and respond to the needs of women and their
families who are socially excluded and require a specialised response from Foyle Women's
Aid.
- Ensure the needs of children and young people are
visible and adequately resourced in the strategic plans and
responses of Foyle Women's Aid and others.
- Ensure the response to children and young people
affected by domestic violence in Foyle Women's Aid is
developmental, sustainable and underpinned by protective and
preventative strategies and services.
- Provide opportunities and responses, which enable
the experiences, safety and
support needs of women, children and young people to be heard
and understood.
- Promote health and wellbeing of women, children and
young people affected by
domestic violence through education, information and awareness
raising.
- Develop and implement a pro-active response to the
abuse of Human Rights and the crime that is domestic violence.
- Influence and support others to develop best quality
policies and practices, which respond to the needs of women,
children and young people affected by domestic violence through
consultative and collaborative partnerships.
- Advocate and publicise the extent, context and impact
of domestic violence, which is perpetrated against women and
their children.
- Ensure that the working principles and values of
Foyle Women's Aid reflect the
philosophy and practice of self-help.
- Develop and monitor quality assurance systems, which
ensure accountability,
sustainability and effectiveness of services.
- Ensure sufficient and skilled staff are in place
to meet Foyle Women's Aid strategic objectives.
