Rosewood House
Rose House offers safe, supported accommodation for women and children who have experienced domestic violence.

The self contained units at Rose House are primarily “move on” accommodation for families who have had to leave their homes because of domestic violence.
The accommodation at Rose House is intended to eliminate long stays in a refuge and to provide an alternative to women for whom communal living is not suitable.
Practical and emotional support is offered to women to help them to regain their independence and prepare for a return to the community. This can include:

  • One to one emotional support.
  • Signposting to other support services e.g. welfare rights, solicitors, medical and housing.
  • Links to other Women’s Aid services e.g. court advocacy, resettlement, training and education, crèche facilities, community support service.

Facilities at Rose House

  • Centrally located
  • Purpose-built, self-contained units in a secure building
  • Security systems in place
  • Fully furnished and equipped with washing machines, TVs, microwaves, irons etc.
  • Disabled access
  • A lift
  • Twenty four hour staff support
  • Specialised group work, delivering programmes that will help women understand their experience of domestic violence.
